We have been very thorough in sourcing a safe, wire free, biodegradable product and are pleased to confirm that our lanterns are fully compliant with the guidance issued by the UK Government (BIS) and are considered acceptable and safe for sale to the public.  Our lanterns are made of tissue paper NOT plastic and are ignited with a fuel impregnated pad NOT with tealights or briquettes to make them as safe as possible.
